Nikto 2 is an open source product licensed under the GNU GPL--the code is freely available to modify and enhance. The development site information is below, and everyone is encouraged to contribute to help keep the project successful.

Since the primary Nikto developer is no longer able to actively contribute to the project, its future is completely in the hands of the community.
